First visit with the pediatrician

Well, MJ is now pushing 9 pounds, weighing in at 8 lbs 13 oz. The appointment went well, and MJ is measuring right where he is supposed to be. His reflexes were checked, and his eyes. No problems. His next appointment is at 2 months.

Two weeks old

Our little angel is now two weeks old, and we are all doing just great. Of course the biggest issue with us, as well as any new parents, is sleep. Getting 6 hours of sleep is a blessing, but not likely, and it never occurs at the same time! We had some weight issues with baby boy, but that seems to be resolved now. We had to go several times for weight checks, and here are the results:

11/30 8lbs 4.6oz

12/2 8 lbs 1.0 oz

12/5 7 lbs 15 oz

12/8 8 lbs 1.0 oz

12/10 8 lbs 2.8 oz

12/13 8lbs 5.2 oz

I guess they were weighing him until he was back up to or past his birth weight, which he should be at by 14 days, and he succeeded. So, no more weight checks, but we do have his first appointment with his pediatrician on Monday, Dec. 19. I will update after that appointment.
