The weather is beautiful, and Mike's business is starting to boom! He had some beautiful new pamplets made up this year, and he distributed them last week. He immediately had several calls coming in for various types of work to be done. This week he began spring clean-ups that had already been scheduled, and next week we will probably be putting an ad in the paper to find some summer help for him. His schedule is filling up fast!
I am planning on running at least one 5K this year. The one I am shooting for is in September in Maui, and I will be going with Jennifer. If I get my butt in gear, I may try to do one locally a bit earlier. Even though I had been jogging on my treadmill on and off over the past couple of months, my training officially started yesterday. Jennifer and I jogged/walked through our neighborhood. It was difficult, but it should get easier with time. I have a plan that I hope to follow for at least the next 8 weeks, and we'll see where I am after that.
Michael continues to amaze us eveyday. It's so fun when he masters a new word, or a new motor skill. He makes us so proud, and we are thankful everyday to have him in our lives, and that we haven't screwed him up - YET! I remember when I was pregnant, and being overwhelmed thinking of how dependent he would be on us. So far I think we have done a pretty good job!!
This is the story of the Bean Counter, who fell in love with the Green Thumb, and they produced two beautiful little sprouts.

Getting caught up
I feel awful that I have not updated here in so long. I will try to catch up.
I will start with our trip to Jamaica. We went to Beaches Sandy Bay in Negril from February 10-17. We had a great time! Michael loved the sand, the water, and the Sesame Street shows they had every other night. Mike and I didn't really get any alone time while we were there, but that was fine. We had a blast playing with Michael everyday! There are pictures of our trip in the "Our Travels" link.
Next, Michael had surgery on his lft eyelid on March 9th. We had to be there 2 hours before the surgery, and they let him run the halls for most of that 2 hours. He had a good time! They had a wagon that he pushed around everywhere, and he was obsessed with the scale. The surgery was very fast, and Michael was only gone from us for about 45 minutes. He was very cranky when he came back, but they warned us that would happen. He wasn't in pain, but it had something to do with the anesthesia. After a little while of crying, he calmed down, and fell asleep. We let him nap for about an hour before we left the hospital. Once he woke from his nap, he was acting normal again, and was back to his happy self! Today he had his post-op appointment, and everyting looks great! There's pics of the day of the surgery in his 12-18 months photo page!
