Saturday recap - Fun Family Day

Some of you faithful followers - all 9 of you - may know that I have 4 step-sisters. Or maybe some of you don't? Anyway, I do. Three of them live here locally, and one is not so local. My not-so-local sister's name is Michelle. She is my step-dad's daughter and lives in great state of Washington.

During our childhood, Michelle lived in Texas, and she would come to stay with us for several weeks in the summer. Maybe a month? I can't remember now what the duration was, but I always looked forward to her visits. We were very close in age, and I have a lot of fond summer memories with her.

Well, Michelle and her husband came to visit us for the first time since 1998. Boy, it was good to see her! We rounded up the family and had a good old fashioned cookout at one of the local parks, and had a great time catching up. Her daughter was the flower girl in my wedding 1998, and she is now 18! Wow. It amazes me how time gets away from you.

This picture was taken of us last night, while we were having a farwell dinner before she left to go back home.

Back to Saturday.  We were only able to stay at the cookout for a couple of hours, but we hooked up with the gang later for a little bowling action. Ok, it was just Michael and I that went. Daddy opted to stay home with Allison, which was fine. But I enjoyed a little mommy/son bonding time with MJ.

We had a great time! Here is the future pro bowler

It was good to see you again, Michelle!  And it was a pleasure meeting your hubby, Wes!  Hope it is not another 12 years before we see you again!

Oh, I almost forgot!  Michelle wanted a picture of our family, so this is the best one that came from our camera.  I hope she was able to get a good one!

This faithful follower did NOT know that you had step sisters. So I am glad to learn something new about you and also glad that you had such a great relationship with them and enjoyed your visit.
